The Freedom Bot is ENIL's WhatsApp assistant for the Freedom Drive 2026. It will help you navigate the Freedom Drive and report barriers. The questions you ask the Freedom Bot will be answered by AI (Artificial Intelligence), not a member of the ENIL team.

• The programme: workshops, speakers, which room, what time

• The venues, and how to get to them

• Accessibility at the venues

• Getting around Brussels

• ENIL, independent living and the CRPD

 

How to talk to it

• Write to it, or send a voice message

• Use your own language. It answers in the same one

• Choose answers as text, as voice notes, or both. Change your mind any time

• Ask where something is and it sends you a map pin

 

Report a barrier

A ramp that is missing, a toilet you cannot use, a lift out of order, signs you cannot read, noise. At the venue, or anywhere in Brussels.

1. You tell it what is not accessible, and where

2. You can add a photo, or share your location

3. It saves your report and gives you a number

4. It asks whether ENIL may contact you

5. The ENIL team gets the barrier, the place and your photo

 

Your phone number goes to them only if you said yes at step 4. If you do say yes, somebody from ENIL may get in touch about what you reported. ENIL collects these reports to solve the problem, discuss the problem with whoever else is responsible or to advocate for change in the city.

 

What it cannot do

• Reach a person for you. Nobody is reading along, and it cannot pass on a message

• Register you, change your registration or take a payment

• Tell you when a barrier has been fixed. It promises no repair and no date

• Write to you first. It only answers, so you will get no announcements from it
